Purpose
Mentoring matters. It provides an advocate for girls. It provides access to resources they may not otherwise have. It teaches what adulthood really looks like and helps prepare for real life. Mentoring motivates and educates.
Mission
ME First empowers young ladies by motivating and educating them through mentorship, career exploration, and lessons on life after high school.
Who
High School aged girls.
What
Provide mentoring for high school age girls. Pair them with a mentor who will communicate with them monthly. Host quarterly social events for mentors and mentees. Host a mentoring camp each year which will kick off the mentoring year.
Special
Mentoring camp experience is unique to ME First. The camp experience is fun, while being full of information. During camp, workshops are held to discuss different topics, such as school to career, effective communication, perseverance, budgeting, etc. During camp, mentors and mentees are paired. There is also time for recreation.
Vision
Our vision is a world where girls can become successful women through motivation and education.
